The New York Institute has for the past 20 years made a concerted effort to preserve, catalog and disseminate it's documents and artifacts. Our 190-year history dates back to the dawn of the education of the blind in the United States.

The NYISE Museum and Archive have three areas available for viewing by appointment. The Hallway Image Gallery contains framed photographs from the NYISE Archive and a timeline exhibit by decade. There is a Main Exhibit Room containing artifacts and a small braille writer exhibit area. The third space is the Fanny Crosby Reading Room with books and items related to this famous alumnus.
