Church of the Intercession, December 18, 2016

The Church of the Intercession has for 106 years celebrated the Holidays by holding an reading of "The Night Before Christmas" written by Clement C. Moore. Moore was a member of the NYI school board for many years. Students of Mr. Naum's music program have been invited to perform before the thousands of people that attend the reading. This years' reading was done by WABC-TV Eyewitness News anchor Sade Baderinwa. 
 
Aolani Cruz and Isabella Dos Santos performed twice. Alumnus Kalah Dolman was ask to return by the church and she demonstrated how she has progressed in becoming a professional singer. 
 
Following the reading there is a lantern procession and wreath-laying at the tomb of Clement C. Moore at the Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum. The school also has a small plot in the cemetary for students that died duing the 19th century cholera epidemics.
