Robert W. Russell
Robert W. Russell graduated from the Institute in 1940 at the age of 16. An excellent wrestler, he gained national fame wrestling at Yale University. At Yale he was awarded an Masters in English in 1945 and in 1951 was awarded another degree from Oxford University in England. By 1963, he was appointed Chairman of the English department at Franklin & Marshall University.
He wrote several books, most notably To Catch an Angel in 1962 which has a chapter on his time at the NY Institute.
