Edward R. Finch Library

Created in 2000, the Edward R. Finch Library is named after a longstanding member of our Board of Directors who shared our belief in the importance of providing quality educational programs and support to our students and their families in a safe, caring environment, and awakening and inspiring student curiosity. All students receive a digital library card and are welcome to use the library to read, study, or complete their homework during free periods

Located on the second floor of our Schermerhorn building, the library is open Monday thru Friday during school hours and available to Residential Program students for use after school and in the evenings.

Librarian Alana Andresen manages the library's diverse collection, including a wide range of juvenile and young adult fiction in both large print and English Braille. Students take library classes each week and can search our entire collection quickly and easily through our integrated library management system.

“Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination.

They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve,

and contribute to improving our quality of life”.
