Donations to the Institute help our students build their independence and knowledge of the world on- and off-campus through a roster of dynamic programming.

 

Central to these efforts is our Student Wellness Works Program, which offers diverse enrichment activities made possible in part through the support of individuals like you.

 

Our 2024/2025 activities will include:

 

• STEAM field trips to educational and cultural destinations.
• Our Where Are They Now Speaker Series featuring Institute Alum.
• Internships, apprenticeships, and career training opportunities.
• Residency Programming with the Greenburg Nature Center.
• Assemblies, workshops, and guest speaker presentations.

 

Selected and overseen by our staff, activities focus on helping students practice their social-emotional and executive functioning skills and compensate for decreased opportunities to learn incidentally by observing others.

 

Additionally, the program takes learning outside the classroom, introducing students to new ideas and places, many for the first time.
