NYI Parent Ann Dowd, Emmy Award-winning actress speaks at school assembly

Ann Dowd, Emmy Award-winning actress, is a parent at NYISE. She spoke to her son Trust and to the 6th-12th grade students of both Schermerhorn and Van Cleve.

She discussed her life, becoming an actress, finding out what you want to do in life and how to pursue your dreams. It was very engaging and the students asked very relevant and well-thought out questions.

Ann Dowd was awarded Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Hulu’s acclaimed "The Handmaid’s Tale" at the 69th annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. She's been nominated for a Golden Globe and also for an Emmy for her performance in the HBO series "The Leftovers".
