We had an Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. The students were involved in every way from shopping for ingredients, preparing food, setting up for the event and cleaning up afterwards. The staff did a great job with assisting the students in completing each task. During the event the students had the opportunity to take a look and explore at raised maps and 3-D representations of symbols that were displayed on each map. Overall the students seemed to have a great time while socializing with one another and being supportive to each other throughout the whole process. We appreciate the hard work from everyone involved to make this event possible. Photographer: Janelys Hernandez
