Schermerhorn Groups 5 and 7 celebrated Louis Braille's 208th birthday! At the party, the students made birthday cards and listened to French music. The students ate raised letter cookies and used their sense of touch to identify the letters on them. Raised letters were used for the Blind before Braille was implemented. During the week the classes learned about the life of Louis Braille and his path to inventing braille.
