On Wednesday, Oct. 11th, the Adapted Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching Staff participated in American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid Recertification. We began by reviewing how to correctly perform CPR on an infant, child and adult. We then reviewed and demonstrated the use of the Bag-Valve Mask and Automated External Defibrillator. In addition, we reviewed and demonstrated basic first aid including how to give assistance to both a conscious and unconscious choking victim. Our instructor was Dee Leone.
