Camp Wanaqua is the only free day camp in the New York metropolitan area for blind and visually impaired children.

Provided each summer during the month of July, Camp Wanaqua is a day camp for kids ages seven to thirteen and provides a chance for kids to unplug, engage with each other, and have fun.

Approximately twenty-five campers join us each summer to participate in a wide range of educational, athletic and therapeutic activities that result in new skills, confidence, friendships, and memories. Additionally, these activities encourage skill development in the expanded core curriculum.
