Maria Paone
Maria Paone

Caring, kind and generous are words to describe Maria Paone. It is not uncommon to see a student walk up to Maria anytime or anywhere for a friendly warm greeting and a big hug.  Maria always goes beyond the call of duty and is definitely my choice for the 2020 February Shining Star Award.

Julian Johnson

Julian is always patient and caring for his students. He is always pushing our wheelchair-bound students in any weather conditions and being attentive to their needs. He is a valued employee at our institute. He is always helpful and willing to point out any safety concerns to the Plant Operations Department. Keep up the good work!

I am happy to nominate Rosalind Wright for the Shining Stars Award. Roz brings happiness to everything she does. Her creativity with the students in the Starlight Café is just one area where she shines. She keeps us dressed fashionably with items from the Spirit Store and encourages the students to be terrific salespeople. Ms. Rosalind Wright is very loving, kind, caring and supportive of all students and staff. She is always seen smiling and laughing as she travels through the hallways at NYISE. Congratulations for hard work, efforts and always Smile!  You’re a shining star!
