Annette Fortune
The NYISE Shining Star Award for the month of December is presented to Annette Fortune, program secretary. Annette's ability and willingness to perform her many responsibilities during an extremely challenging time serves as an example of her work ethic and dedication to the school. Annette, your tremendous, strength, work ethic, and desire to perform during such a trying time is greatly appreciated and has been nothing but inspirational.

Filippa Andolina
Filippa has been chosen to receive the NYISE Shining Star award for the month of December. Filippa is the kind of person who always greets you with a smile and is ready to lend a helping hand. She always makes sure the students during the year and campers during the summer have a place to stay that is as comfortable as their own home. We are so grateful for your hard work and dedication to NYISE.

Francis Ravalier
Francis has been chosen to receive the NYISE Shining Star award for the month of December. Francis is someone who you can always count on when you need to get something done. He made sure our campers stayed cool this summer by having our Unicorn Sprinkler up and running daily. Thank you, Francis, for everything you do for NYISE!

John is a hard-working individual, he always has a smile and has a willingness to get the job done. When you need something, you can always count on him to find it and make it happen. Dawn George
I have selected Dawn to receive a Shining Star due to the selfless, caring and passionate commitment she displays each day while working with her students. Her ever-present loving smile warmly greets not only her children but staff as well upon seeing Dawn in the hallways or her classroom. This positive and supportive attitude has been the essence of Dawn for over 30 years as a member of the NYISE staff. Whether that be as a teacher assistant, middle school social studies teacher or kindergarten teacher, Dawn’s approach to her work has benefitted every student fortunate enough to have referred to her as “My teacher”.
