The students of NYI receive an academic curriculum and follow the same academic standards of the public school. Their academic achievements are measured the the same NY state tests and Regents. <br><br>In the follow photos, the 7thgraders are in science classes. In the first set, we see them doing an eye dissection and in the second, they are looking at sea shells and classifying them by their attributes. .<br><br>The third set of pictures features our alumnus Armani that returned to the school after a successful collegiate career to do her student teaching at NYI as she works towards her teaching degree.
