afternoon Visionary women country music Billy just lit the fire back within me so getting excited to love has produced each day 2015 we were asked by my mentor and friend Lisa Silverman if I just wanted to sponsor a scholarship it was truly an honor and I feel privileged that we can that is my pleasure to present this year scholarship to his Jessica Erin towards her first year in college Jessica is legally blind is an avid supporter of the community and that's something that really stood out to me in my position with Metro community relations manager organization called part of the solution when she collects and distributes canned and other non-perishable food items and also promotes healthy eating and lifestyle habits Interstellar ship application just desire to continue to give back by majoring in education when she matriculated University the education has played in especially the first generation American and she aspires to provide invaluable to her creating better tomorrows for them as we've done for her and her time at the New York Institute for special ed here in the Bronx just been amazing and very impressive spare time she today she's been accepted to six out of ten universities that she's applied to which is quite an accomplishment next. choices and you want to be able to wait until you drive your own train right out of the station so very excited for her so you know Jessica you two are one of the station and we look forward to hearing about your many features came back like they just tell her how you're doing the few years congratulations and best of luck in whatever University and f****** up there thank you Sarah for that wonderful you have to come back in a few years and Mentor other young girls as an American who is first generation who whose parents were immigrants this is an absolute be here today to hear all of inspirational stories me such kind compassionate inspirational women for me is been amazing and someone who's always wanted to go to college and now that I'm finally senior is kind of in the same my dreams and all that I've Ever Wanted accomplished are now finally coming to fruition and I do hope to make the most of the scholarship and I tend to the best I possibly can in my further studies thank you so much to Bronx Chamber of Commerce Bronx Chamber of Commerce and Metro Optics for giving me this opportunity that has been absolutely amazing to be here today thank you
