Learning

The New York Institute for Special Education is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York for and on behalf of the State Education Department.

Our New York State Educational Curriculum is not a commercial, pre-packaged curriculum, but instead a carefully thought-out and teacher-selected curriculum following New York State and New York City guidelines. Materials selected for each subject address New York State Standards and the needs of our student population. For our most up-to-date curriculum and resources, follow this internal link www.nyise.org/Schermerhorn/Core_Curriculum/.
