Giving Tuesday: Get the word out!

Every contribution matters. Every contributor matters.

Help our gardens grow!

How can I help?

There are many ways to help us raise funds on Giving Tuesday in addition to donating, including helping us get the word out by telling your friends, neighbors, and colleagues about our Green Gardens Program and encouraging them to join you in making a gift on December 3, 2019.

Whether in person or social media, everyone who learns about our programs has the potential to make a difference in the lives of our students. NYISE is active on Instagram and Twitter, and this is a great way to share information and build awareness and support for our educational programs.

To help right now, click here to print out an #UNselfie pledge sign, fill it out, and take a pic of yourself holding it. Then post your pic on your social media accounts using the green post below:

Already made your gift?

Click here to print out an #UNselfie sign and share it on your social media accounts or in your classroom.

We also love to hear stories of how kids can be involved on Giving Tuesday, and one way to do this is to decorate your pledge or #UNselfie sign using the theme of green gardens. Use pencils, markers, crayons, paint; whatever your preference.

Take a pic of your creation and post it on social media with the green post above.

Don't forget to tag us @nyise999.

We look forward to seeing your pics!

Thank you and best wishes for the holidays!

SUBJECT HEADING: Giving Tuesday + Green Gardens = NYISE

Hi,

Could you help me raise awareness and funds for NYISE's Green Gardens Program as part of Giving Tuesday this year?

This is a great program, and I'm hoping you can help get the word out by tagging us @nyise999 and posting the following on your social media account(s):

I pledge to support NYISE's Green Gardens Program on Giving Tuesday!
@nyise999 #December3 #nyise999 #greengardens #tamiasthechipmunk
#blind #visuallyimpaired #learningdisabilities #kids #grow

Does this sound like something you could do?

Many thanks.

PS: If you can make a gift today to this program, click here to do so. NYISE is hoping to reach 100 Giving Tuesday donors this year!

PPS: NYISE's Green Garden Program is designed for NYISE's K-12 students who are blind or visually impaired or have learning and emotional disabilities. The program is an extension of our science curriculum and brings these kids outside to NYISE's garden where they learn firsthand about all things gardening.

On Giving Tuesday (December 3) NYISE is raising funds for this program -visit: www.nyise.org/givingtuesday/ to learn more.

100% of every dollar raised for Giving Tuesday will help buy seeds, soil, tools, and plants, and make it possible for students to go on field trips to local farms and gardens, as well as participate in the Greenberg Nature Center's Garden Grown Scholar Program (https://greenburghnaturecenter.org/project-based-stem-education-programs/).

Thanks for helping me get the word out!
