High School students visited The Museum of Jewish Heritage. The Museum was created as a living memorial to those who perished during the Holocaust, the Museum honors those who died by celebrating their livesu2014cherishing the traditions that they embraced, examining their achievements and faith, and affirming the vibrant worldwide Jewish community that is their legacy today.<br><br>The students had read Night by Elise Wiesel. Night is a work about his experience with his father in the Nazi German concentration camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald in 1944u201345. They also had read The Wave by Tood Strausser, a book that tries to answer the question of why the Germans allowed Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party to rise to power, acting in a manner inconsistent with their own pre-existing moral values.<br><br>Students were given the opportunity to explore the exhort in Hate vs Humanity, and listened to Mrs. Toby Levy speak about her survival story.<br><br>Photography by Jessica Hurley
