    2. Access to Telecommunications Equipment and Customer Premises Equipment by Individuals with Disabilities: The proposed rule will have a 45-day public comment period. This is a very important rule, since it deals with accessibility rules for telecommunication products, which covers a very wide range of important technologies. The Access Board expects to publish the proposed rule in the Federal Register in mid-April 1997, and the final rule by August 1997.
