The Memorial Fund

THE MEMORIAL FUND of The New York Institute for the Education of the Blind had its beginning with the founding of the Institute more than 126 years ago. To the memorials born of this fund created by gift, bequest and dedication to the memory of a dear one departed, the Institute owes, in large measure, the development of its program for blind children-memorials which, down through the years, have served both to honor and perpetuate cherished memories and to bring light and hope into the lives of the blind. Because of this generosity and concern for mankind, thousands of blind men and women through the training and self-reliance gained at the Institute have been enabled to live useful and happy lives.
