Rainy day fun for the Wanaqua campers.

Campers at the pool

Campers have busy days at NYISE. They enjoy the school’s has recently renovated pool. It provides great fun and relaxation.

Mary Poppins talking to the assembly

One rainy afternoon, the campers had a surprise visitor while viewing the movie “Mary Poppins” in the auditorium. As the movie ended, they were shocked to find Mary herself walking on stage. She was introduced by the school’s librarian, Cheryl Palgon. Mary was played by one of the school’s mobility instructors, Amelia Grant. The kids had a great time with “Mary” and it was exciting having a movie character come to life.

Another special event they enjoyed was a hoop party in the school’s gymnasium. The instructor came to us from SammiHoop.com. The kids had a great time learning how to play with the hoops and discovering a new way to exercise.
