Bronx Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj brings joy to our children.

Bronx Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj was joined by Santa, a few elf helpers and leaders from the community to deliver holiday gifts, including toys and sweets, to students with visual impairments and emotional needs, and preschoolers with developmental disabilities at The New York Institute for Special Education, Monday, December 19.

The event began in the gymnasium with students from the Institute’s Schermerhorn and Van Cleve programs for a sing-a-long. Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj, along with Santa and community leaders from the Bronx Rotary, Sons of Italy and Anthony’s Flowers — who each donated toys and gifts — distributed the items to the children. The Assemblyman then visited the school’s Readiness Program, where he gave each preschooler gifts.
