On Thursday, February 28, 2013, Registered Dietitian Janie Zeitlin RD,CDN , spoke to our Middle and High School Students about several nutritional concepts. These concepts included how to read a nutritional food label and how these labels can be deceptive. She also spoke about the dangers of hydrogenated oils and trans fats, as well as the importance of protein in your diet. At the conclusion of her discussion she asked students to answer some questions and the correct answers received a healthy snack as a prize.
