The New York Institution for the Blind circa 1910

This picture was taken during the construction of Pennsylvania Station, just a half block way.
The tracks in the foreground are the tracks of the Ninth Avenue Elevated Railroad's 34th Street
platform. Partially visible is the arch over the school's front gate which had a granite tablet bearing
the inscription "New York Institution for the Blind"
