Our boys Goalball Team participated this weekend in theUnited States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) 2009 Goalball Youth Nationals in St. Augustine, Florida.   The boys did well finishing 6th losing some heartbreakers including a 6-5 loss to Utah in sudden death overtime, Utah went on to win the Boy's Championship. Although we didn't beat our archrival Florida, we did manage to tie them 7-7 a first for us.
Jasmine Toro competed with the girls of the Georgia Firebolts as a pool player. Jasmine's team was undefeated up to the Championship game which was won by Florida, Jasmine was a star player for the team and played every minute of every game and brought home a silver medal.
The boy’s team consists of: Domanique Bullock, Jahron Black, Felix Castro, Isrick Delgado, Brandohn Gabbert, and Andre Hopkins.
