Horseback riding has been the theme for this year's Outdoors Club members. This spring our Schermerhorn Residential students participated in a 5 week progressive Intro to Horseback Riding Program with Alisons' Whispers at Clausland Mountain Stables located in Rockland County NY.

We enjoyed meeting, grooming, feeding and riding Ruby and Gambler, as well as visiting with the chicken coop and meeting Eddie the rabbit. Thank you to Olivia for her hospitable nature and to our faithful volunteers Emily and Norah. Their assistance in our instruction allowed for our visits to go safe and smooth. We are grateful to all for their fun loving enthusiasm of this leisure activity, which provided our students such a positive learning experience.
